Terms and conditions.
These terms govern the relationship between West 157 and the households we serve. They are designed to protect both parties and to preserve the discretion that defines the work.
01 — Engagement
Work is accepted only on referral from an existing client or a trusted partner. Each engagement is confirmed in writing, with scope, fees, and obligations described before any action is taken.
02 — Fees and payment
Fees are quoted per engagement or retainer, as agreed in advance. Third-party costs are passed through at cost unless otherwise stated. Invoices are payable within fourteen days unless a different term is confirmed in writing.
03 — Confidentiality
We treat all client information as confidential. We do not disclose identities, arrangements, or details without written permission, except where required by law.
04 — Liability
West 157 carries errors and omissions insurance appropriate to the work. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific engagement in question, and we are not liable for losses caused by third-party vendors or events outside our control.
05 — Termination
Either party may terminate an engagement with reasonable notice. Outstanding fees and third-party costs incurred prior to termination remain payable.
06 — Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in Chicago, Illinois.
